What the Four Goethe C1 Modules Check
The current modular Goethe-Zertifikat C1 assesses advanced language use across Lesen, Hören, Schreiben, and Sprechen. This site provides original independent practice for all four modules.
Exam format and timing
Lesen takes 65 minutes, Hören about 40 minutes, Schreiben 75 minutes, and Sprechen usually about 20 minutes as a pair exam. Every module is scored separately and passed from 60 of 100 points.

Eight four-option cloze items, seven chronological article questions, eight sentence-insertion items, and seven expert-viewpoint statements.
Listening

The current modular reading exam has four parts, 30 scored items, and 65 minutes in total. The four parts contain 8, 7, 8, and 7 items.
Eighteen of 30 raw points convert to 60 of 100 result points, which is the module pass threshold.
Teil 1 is played once. Teil 2 is played twice. In Teil 3, each of the four discussion sections is played once. Teil 4 is played twice. The complete module has 30 scored items and takes about 40 minutes.
