Goethe C1 Speaking: presentation with follow-up questions
This task comes from practice set 1. The preview shows one of the two topic choices, all four content points and the beginning of an independently created model response.
Show model opening and possible follow-up question
Possible follow-up question: Sie möchten zeitversetzte E-Mails einführen.
The complete model response with two answers is available in practice set 1.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the exam!
The current modular exam has two parts and usually lasts about 20 minutes as a pair exam, after 20 minutes of preparation. In Teil 1, each candidate chooses one of two themes, gives a presentation for about five minutes, and answers questions for about two minutes. Teil 2 is a paired discussion lasting about five minutes.
Choose one of the two themes on your candidate sheet and address all four prompts in a coherent presentation. Afterward, your partner asks one question and an examiner asks another. Strong answers develop a clear position, examples, qualifications, and consequences rather than merely mentioning each prompt.
Teil 2 assesses genuine interaction. State and justify your view, respond directly to your partner, ask for clarification when useful, concede or challenge points, and work toward the outcome requested on the task card. Avoid alternating memorized mini-presentations.
Assessment covers task fulfilment, coherence, questions and answers, interaction, vocabulary, grammatical structures, and pronunciation. The complete speaking module is scored out of 100 points and is passed from 60 points.
