The Goethe B2 Hören (Listening) module takes approximately 40 minutes plus 5 minutes to transfer answers to the answer sheet. It consists of four parts with 30 items total: Teil 1 has 10 items (5 True/False + 5 Multiple Choice), Teil 2 has 6 items (Multiple Choice), Teil 3 has 6 items (Matching passages), and Teil 4 has 8 items (Multiple Choice). Each task has only one correct answer.

You will hear various audio types: Teil 1 covers everyday conversations (Alltagsgespräche), Teil 2 tests understanding of information from interviews or reports, Teil 3 requires matching statements to passages, and Teil 4 features lectures or presentations (Vorträge). Read the tasks first, then listen to the audio.

Teil 1 uses both True/False (Richtig/Falsch) and 3-option Multiple Choice. Teil 2 and Teil 4 use 3-option Multiple Choice (Wahl 3-gliedrig MC). Teil 3 uses Zuordnung (Matching) where you match statements to passages. Each task has only one correct answer.

After listening, you have 5 minutes to transfer your answers to the answer sheet (Antwortbogen). Only answers on the answer sheet are graded. Write with a blue or black pen. No aids such as dictionaries, phones, or mobile devices are allowed.
